G Family | Birmingham Family Photographer

Another great Valleydale Church family. Greg is a great Life Connection teacher at our Church and Angie has a passion for Missions. They are almost empty-nesters with 2 in college and their youngest looking to finish High School in 2014. I just love photographing families and I'm so glad this family contacted me to have their portraits done since the "kids" will be off and married before they know it!

Starting Over | Birmingham Adoption Family Photographer

This is yet another sweet family from my Church. They had felt God's call for many years to adopt and were finally able to recently. It was a long heart-wrenching process, but they were finally blessed with the arrival of Emanuel ("Ema") to their family. With one daughter starting her last year of college and the other her junior year of High School, Rob and Kathy are starting over.

Finally, another man in the house for Rob!

My favorite trick... "let's see your silly face!"

Finally smiling in his soccer shirt!

He's cool.

I'm officially old | Birmingham Portrait Photographer

Location: Mount Laurel

I have known these kids for many years now. When Todd and I joined Valleydale Church almost 12 years ago we began serving in the nursery. S was one of our 3 year olds and she's not so much 3 anymore, which means that I'm old.

Here's big sis, T.

And the one who makes me old, S. How in the universe did you change from being knees and elbows to a beautiful sparkly young lady so fast?!

Baby brother, A.

I love the relationship these girls have - like best friends.

Poor A doesn't have just one mom, he has 3 :)

The A Family

My first urban shoot! I had been wanting to do some portraits downtown on Morris Avenue and was so excited when my hair stylist, Kristy, agreed to it. Kristy has been my hairstylist for many years - since Abby was a baby. I've always heard her talk about her kids and hubby, but it was so great to meet them. They are all so friendly and nice. Kristy's daughter, K is a senior and did great coming up with ideas for poses. Her brother, T, is quiet and polite, but did so great in front of the camera. It was so fun to watch Kristy and her hubby, Kevin just be! I love it when people can just act natural in front of the camera. Here are my favorites:

I love a good jumping picture!

I also love a good dip!

I love that the distance between Kristy and T is much smaller than the distance between the others! Sweet!

That was way fun! Thanks for being willing to do pictures downtown!

Contact Kristy for a great cut at Eclipse Hair Salon in Hoover at 403-2700.
